ACLL is a 3-day conference to provide help and stimulation for language coaches and those learning language and culture in Asia, whether in formal (school) or informal contexts.

In addition to plenary sessions, there will be a variety of elective workshops, with tracks for those who are new to the field of culture and language acquisition, as well as thought-provoking topics for experienced professionals.

The first ACLL was in 2004 and about 50 people attended the second one was in 2007 and the third ACLL was held in 2010.  The attendees found it was time well spent and asked for more! We are hoping for a good attendance at this fourth congress.

ACLL 4 will be held March 12th to 14th, 2012, in Chiang Mai, Thailand, at the Mercure Hotel.  We begin with a Welcome Party at 8pm on Sunday 11th March. (see “Registration” page for more information)

ACLL partners with the “Language Coach Workshops” run by the Institute for Cross-Cultural Training (ICCT) - Wheaton College.  In 2012 the Language Coach Workshop will be run in Chiangmai the week before ACLL.  Click here to go to the Language Coach Workshop website.
